Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Today we went to our first Johnson City Cardinals Baseball Game. This was also both Maddie and my first "professional" baseball game ever. Luckily the weather was perfect, low humidity and everything. :) We didn't know if Maddie would make it through the entire game but she was a champ and was wide awake all the way to the 9th inning. The Cardinals won and looks like we found a fun summer activity for the whole family.

4th of July

Since we were in transition over 4th of July here is a delayed post of the festivities. We decided to sell our Hannah Montana tickets to spend one last 4th of July in Brigham City. I always looked forward to our big 4th of July bash at Todd and Mishelle's and this year was as fun as ever. Here are some pics of the good times. Enjoy!

Memories

As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or alot, anything you remember! Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you(if you already haven't). It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Touch Down Tennessee

Sorry this post is a few weeks overdue. Today we FINALLY got our cable and Internet access hooked up at our new house. It's sad how much I depend on the Internet to function day to day. We had been making daily trips to our local library to get online to check email and try to keep up with day to day news. But now we are online and good to go! I don't have any great pics to post yet, I will definitely get some posted in the near future. We found a little house a few blocks from campus which will be perfect for our time here in Johnson City. Even though we are only about 2 miles from downtown our little street has a country charm to it. Our landlord informed us that there is a rabbit that lives in the area and would be stopping by for daily visits. Not to disappoint, that rabbit (now goes by the name of "Bunny") is a daily fixture of our backyard. I will have to get a pic of him. There are also numerous squirrels that race up and down our street and too many birds to count are always chirping in the trees. We are still trying to get use to all the streets, but I've located Target, Starbucks, and the mall so I'm already feeling at home in our new city. I'm intrigued by the Southern accent that the majority of people here have. If I'm not careful I can easily slip into when ordering food. It's pretty entertaining to listen to strangers jabber on about their day events. Anyways, stay tuned for upcoming pics of the wonderful little town of Johnson City.

This Is The Place!

After living in Utah for nearly 90% of my life I decided to finally venture out to "This Is The Place" Park. As most Utahns know this is the area made famous by Brigham Young's declaration when the pioneers trekked into what is now Salt Lake City. Robyn, Laney, Dill0n, Linda, Maddie and me made a date to check out what the fuss was all about, and I'm glad that we went. I would first advise NOT to go when it's a balmy 104 degrees outside, but besides that the park was really cool. I'm trying to squeeze in as many "Utah" activities before we head East on Sunday. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be making it out to The Great Salt Lake...tear :-( but hey, that's what visits are for right?
