Happy Halloween!
We went trick or treating in the Governor's Square neighborhood with the Kuykendal's. We started off at 5:30 and went strong until about 7:30. The temperature was perfect, low 60's light breeze, and not a cloud in the sky. As soon as the sun set the temps dropped and it was a little chilly, but bearable. The girls scored in the candy department. Maddie ran in to some fellow classmates along the way. I LOVE Halloween, but am SO glad it's over.

Morning stroll and late night trunk or treat.
Today I walked through my dream neighborhood. Beautiful homes, immaculate yards, mature trees, I was smitten. There is also a little kids playground tucked away between the nature trails which makes me love the area even more. Allie decided that she would walk home after her playtime, which made me feel like a pioneer. Later we went to the ward trunk or treat. It was perfect. Lots of friendly faces, cars and cars of candy and in an out within an hour. Great day, busy day, and now it's time for bed.

Weekend escape to JC
We headed to JC for the week-end to celebrate Mariah's 8th birthday and baptism. It was great seeing friends and experiencing an amazing and spiritually uplifting baptism. On the way up a car caught fire on the freeway. Once we got to JC we went to Mariah's Birthday party then headed to our old ward's Trunk or Treat. Saturday was the baptism, then we went to Olive Garden...which was a bit of a nightmare...but fun and yummy too. Then it was back home to unpack and unwind for church the next day. Ahh...time to relax. Guess who was in Sacrament and I missed it because we sat in the foyer???? Mr. Jef Holm from St. George, Utah.

Halfway through October...
I can't believe that October is almost halfway over, which means Thanksgiving is around the corner and then Christmas!
