Best Worst Movie Ever! Troll 2
My friend Linz's husband Mike starred in a trainwreck of a movie called "Troll 2" when he was young. I'm not just saying that to be mean, it's actually known as the "Best Worst Movie EVER!". Mike has now put together an awesome doc about all the hoopla surrounding Troll 2 and it will premiere at the SXSW Festival. Congrats Mike and Linz!

Deep Thoughts
Today I went to court with my boss. I enjoy doing this because I am now on the "good side" vs. the "bad side". For those of you who know me best will understand. Although I don't have much to do while at court but try and understand all the legal jargon flying around and thinking to myself that I am sooo glad that it's not me up on the stand. Anyways....5 hours of court really wears me down. I was hoping to come home and take a nap, but since Maddie started preschool, which overlaps with her old nap time, nap time has essentially become a thing of the past. Sad. OH well..
Robyn went to the benefit concert for Stephanie and Christian Nielsen a few days ago and I was once again reminded of the Nie Nie Dialogues, an amazing blog that makes me look at the bright side of life, and gives me hope for the future and a renewed faith in humanity, which is much needed after a long day of court watching derelicts try and sort their loser life one court date at a time.
My friend Susan told me about Nie back in August and was donating crafts for an auction to help with the mounting medical bills they had incurred due to a plane accident. Check out the blog if you need a pick me up, www.nieniedialogues.blogspot.com, it's guaranteed to put a smile on your face.
I am looking forward to Valentine's Day. I've been trying to figure out how to explain to Maddie what Valentine's Day is and why we celebrate it. I guess the best explanation would be a day of celebrating those we love. I'm planning on making heart-shaped sugar cookies with pink frosting and sprinkles and then some home made valetines for the fam.
I also need to get on that treadmill, come to think of it....maybe I'll try and start that this week or maybe next. Brandon is now in school and working on his Masters program. I am very proud of this because it was almost 3 years ago that he stumbled upon this program. A program that could actually help make his dreams come true, to work within the redneck industry of NASCAR!!!! At the time Brandon was still only a Junior in his undergrad, but look at us now! We are hoping, praying, and looking towards the future and what it may bring.
It is wicked cold here in Johnson City, and I mean wicked cold, like 7 degrees warm! You feel it in your bones and it reminds me of my winter in Wisconsin. Brrrrr....in fact, our house is freezing, yet Maddie doesn't seem to notice because she is still running around non-stop in her uniform of "girl undies" and that's it. Yes, my child it pretty much nakey wakey all day unless she has to go out in public. Makes for less laundry so I don't mind. I'd like to try out a new blog format, but I can't make up my mind and then I don't feel like it's "cool" enough or whatever. That's it in a nutshell, my deep thoughts for the day. Over and out.
