Maddie's First ER Visit

I got the dreaded call from Maddie's school nurse, Maddie was hurt on the playground and needed to go to the hospital. Yikes! Poor girl was playing at recess and fell on the stairs. She didn't cry too much, but when the blood started to take over her face and shirt that's when the panic set in. She's was all cleaned up when I came to get her and we headed to the Children's ER. Four long long long hours later Maddie's head wound was cleaned up and glued shut. She was bored and annoyed more than anything with how long it took. She kept saying, "I sucked it in!" "You mean sucked it up?" I said. "No, I say suck it in." She's awesome.

My Heart

This morning Maddie told me that she wished she could have more one on one time with me, but she understood that the babies need me most. Then she gave me a big hug and said, "But you're still my Mommy." She has a heart of gold.

Afternoon in the Park

The munchkins weren't cooperating with naptime yesterday so we headed to the park. I have a system to get all three kiddos out of the car in an order that prevents them from taking off, getting hurt, etc. First I strap Drew into the Bjorn, then it's time to get the girls out. I had Drew ready to go and as soon as Allie stood up from her carseat she said, "Pee Pee!", the diaper didn't do it's job and the poor girl that soaked her pants, and carseat. Luckily it was seventy and sunny, and hey, the park is the park and these kiddos needed to get their energy out. So, we unloaded and played for about an hour. It was great, and Pantless Allie put smiles on everyone's face she came in contact with. Bedtime came early, and it was heaven.

Party Time at Noah's Art

Today was Maddie's Birthday Party. We had it at Noah's Art Studio, the place where takes art class. She invited girls from her class and church. They were able to create and finish 5 projects and decorate a banner for Maddie. It was such a great party and the best part was that I didn't have to lift a finger! Allie was right in the mix, and everyone had a blast. Maddie has already told me that she wants to have her birthday parties here from now on, and that's just fine with me. :)

Happy 7th Birthday Maddie Moo!

She's seven, I can't believe it. Seven years ago today I held her in my arms, and my heart has never been the same. I love you to the moon and back Maddie Moo.

Thanksgiving Break has begun...

It was gorgeous outside today. Mid 60's, sunny, and blue skies for miles. We went to Carmel Road Park to soak up the sun. The girls played, while Drew and I people watched. I can't believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow. It seems like Halloween was just yesterday. The last pic of Allie was taken just as some kids rode by on their bikes. She loves her bike and I know she wishes she could have just joined in.

Santa, Peace, and Pancakes

This past week-end we went to Peace Morrovian Church to see Santa, enjoy a pancake breakfast and hang with our Charlotte BFF's. I'm pretty sure this will be Maddie's last year of Santa, tear. Allie would not come within 10 feet of the big guy, until she realized his helper was handing out candy canes. She then quickly jumped to the front of the line for a treat. It feels as if Thanksgiving and Christmas is getting smooshed together this year. I'm just excited for this time of year because Brando will be back soon! :)
