Tonight my friend Leah (from Alabama) hosted a Southern Cooking Class. I learned how to make real Southern Fried Chicken, Fried Okra, Boiled Squash, Corn Bread, and Peach Cobbler. I'm not just saying this but seriously the Fried Chicken was hands down the best that I've ever had, and to think I can now prepare this deliciousness any day of the week for my family. Good times.
It's here! Spring is finally here. This is a picture of our tree in the backyard. I never noticed the blossoms before...in fact I don't remember this tree having blossoms. But oh, how I love looking out my kitchen window and seeing this beautiful sight. Makes doing the dishes much more pleasant.
Today we went to the Knoxville Zoo. It was blazin' hot and fun to just get out and enjoy the sunshine. Little Miss was definitely not her best self for the "field trip", but it was still a good time all around.
Easter morning started out with a little Easter egg finding for Maddie. Then we were off to the Butlers to watch Conference. We enjoyed hanging out with good friends, eating yummy food and listening to some very inspirational messages. Last pic was a sign that it was time to go home. Allie was over it. ;)
Here are some pics of Maddie and her buddies from the Easter Egg Hunt we threw together at Willow Springs. The top pic was taken by my good friend/awesome photog Brandy. I'm still adjusting to packing around 2 kids instead of one and unfortunately that cuts into my picture-taking time. As soon as I get adjusted I'll be back to my paparazzi self.
